I am sure this type of question gets asked weekly, but I am not having much luck finding an answer for my specific question here on Reddit or on Google:
Which cross-platform (Windows and OSX) terminal/SSH/connection emulator client do people use?
I have been a long time user of SecureCRT, but after using mobaXterm for a few days, I am realizing that SCRT is really outdated. Programs like mXt seem to do WAY more than SCRT (file transfers, RDP, scripting/macros) ... and they look much better!
The only feature that SCRT had over mXt was cross-functionality between Windows and Mac. SCRT allowed me save my sessions to cloud storage and have them available on my laptop, desktop and my many, many jumphosts. I am in Windows vs Mac about 60/40.
My enterprise license for SCRT is for an older version only, so my manager agreed to let me upgrade to anything of my choice. So far, I have heard Zoc is good, but I haven't looked into too much yet. However, besides SCRT obviously, there really doesn't seem to be too many other options.
I would appreciate people's advice and feedback - you'd think the options would much better in 2017! Thanks.
